Client Information

Client Rights

A user of the Transport Service has a number of rights which the service provider recognises. These are as follows:

  • The right to be treated with respect and courtesy
  • The right to be informed and give views
  • The right to be part of decisions about your care
  • The right to receive quality service
  • The right to privacy and confidentiality
  • The right to an advocate
  • The right to make a complaint

Client Responsibilities

Transport service users also have some responsibilities to the people providing care to them. Graham House Community Transport asks their clients to:

  • Treat staff and volunteers with respect and courtesy
  • Provide a safe workplace for staff and volunteers, help then to provide the client with services safely, and inform them if there are any potential hazards
  • Take responsibility for the results of any decisions which the client makes with staff and volunteers about their care

All matters are handled in the strictest confidence.

If you have a complaint about any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible.

There will be no consequences except an improved service. The problem can’t be fixed unless we know about it.

An advocate is someone you can elect to act on your behalf. This can be a family member, friend or someone else.

You can obtain information about an advocate by calling the Queensland Aged and Disability Advocacy Service on 1800 818 338.
